My Purdue: University Hall

Something that everyone needs to do when they visit Purdue is to visit the oldest building on campus: University Hall. This building is important because it is the only building remaining of the original six buildings. Construction had begun in 1871, and in 1877 the building was dedicated. Originally, it housed the office of the president, a chapel, and classrooms. However, in 1961, the building was redesigned for the History department, and now the classrooms are only used for liberal arts majors. This is easy to see when looking at the fliers on the cork boards because they have fliers for liberal arts clubs, organizations, and information for History students.
